বয়স

বিষণ্ন জড়তা জড়িয়ে
যতক্ষণ ছুঁয়ে থাকা যায়,
তারচেয়েও অধিক অধিকার

পরিযায়ী রাতে, বিছানাতে
হাহাকার ছিঁড়েছুঁড়ে ছড়ায়
শক্তির সবটুকু ব্যয় সময়কে ধরার।

Clutching its melancholy inertia:
The briefest span of time we hold the touch
Demands a right far greater still—

On the migratory night, upon the bed,
A tearing anguish spills and spreads;
All strength is spent to net the fleeing flight of time.
