গন্তব্য

কোথাও না কোথাও যেতেই হবে,
এ এক অবর্ণনীয় দুর্ভোগ!
যেখানে আমার জায়গা নেই, সেখানেই—
এরকম অসংখ্য ঠিকানার পথ
আমার সামনে বিছিয়ে।
থামিয়ে দেয় না কেউ,
আমাকে যেতে যে হবেই...

অথচ, যেখানে যেতে হবে না
এবং যার কোনো ঠিকানা নেই,
পথহীন হেঁটে চলা শুধু তার জন্যই।

Destination

Somewhere or other, I must go,
This is an indescribable suffering.
Where I have no place; it is there
That countless roads of this kind
Are laid out before me,
And no one stops me.
I have to go...

Yet, where there is no need to go,
And which has no address—
To walk pathless, is only for that.
